Everyone remembers where they were when the great 2020 lock down struck. The drop in your stomach, the distressed Google searches and urgent calls. For me, I was a senior in college on spring break in Punta Cana... quite literally experiencing a panic, and pandemic, at the disco. Through the flashing lights and remixed tunes, I was awe struck by the enormity of the situation, this is enormous, historic! As I was thinking of humanity's modes of documentation, story telling, and news, I was imagining how I could convey the impact of this moment and day to day changes in time to my grandchildren (in a not boring way), so I made a card game.
Green cards are low scoring, they're the basics, the new bread and butter (ie. sour dough starter and a puzzle). The deck is 80% these cards so the players really feel the monotony.
Orange (aka printer affordable gold) cards are super hero status. You win big points for doing things that help your community and yourself.
Red cards give you negative points, exemplifying a range of bad behaviors from inconsiderate to stupid.
